Y.O.U. Update

 The YOUers have been busy kids this summer. Thanks to successful bracelet sales and Fundraiser Lunches, 10 teens journeyed to Oklahoma to the Bi-Regional Rally in early July. The theme was “InJoy.” Activities centered on finding your Inner Joy and expressing it outward. One popular group workshop was ‘Laughing Yoga.’ Another was about looking at ‘issues’ you may be experiencing from different perspectives, as a tool for dealing with or resolving/healing the situation. At this particular rally the teens from all over the South and Central (our) region, elected their regional team for the coming year. We applaud our own Cali Williams for stepping up to run for office, and even though she wasn’t chosen this year, we know that Divine Order prevails, and this experience has been a wonderful growth experience for all the kids involved. At the Bi-Regional Rally, the YOU has a graduation ceremony for seniors, and Lindsey Hartman was our graduate this year. We wish her well as she continues on to college and know that she will be missed in YOU. More wonderful happenings at this rally were a river float trip, Family Groups, Spirit Sharing, Dances of Universal Peace, Fuzzies, Joy Songs, Meditations and more.
The Summer ended with a celebration of Dancing and Fun at the Y.O.U.er’ s  “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dance -Away “ and Lock-In. Other YOU friends from Denver joined with our YOU chapter w/ the intention of creating a stronger bond and connection among the sister Colorado  chapters  and to welcome new YOUers  and say farewell to our graduates. It was a fun night!
    The  night began at the YMCA where we all danced together with our church family and friends. And then, all YOUers returned to the church and the Kid’s House for an evening of Pizza, socializing, moonlight games  and Sufi-dancing, culminating w/ vespers and goodnight fuzzies. Up   Sat.  morning for breakfast and  closing blessings and goodbye fuzzies-- It was a beautiful  and perfect ending to a wonderful  summer.
