April 2006 – Miracles In Mozambique
So, here we are a month or so later . . . I am thinking it has been a bit since I have
actually updated you. I am sitting in my office working on proposals and budgets while
listening to a Unity Church Service from my Unity in the Rockies and I am feeling so
very blessed. Things have been rugged, challenging, heart-breaking and joyous this
past six months. As I am listening to “the Rev” talking about a year of miracles and
that our church will be focusing on miracles all this year –
Here I am so blessed to be in the center of a miracle – actually the center of many
miracles –
The miracles of your support
The miracles of your prayers and donations
The miracles of all the lovely people I have met and those I haven’t met physically
but through the miracle of the internet
The miracle of the energy of these children
The miracle of my life bringing me to Mozambique, through a much whispered
calling.
And so on and so on and so on. I could easily continue for pages on end about our
miracles. Just now, we are experiencing the miracle of vision – for seeing clearly that
which doesn’t yet have form. That which is mine/ours to do.
In Macate there were orphans but there was no orphan center – there was no place for
the children to go; there was no way for them to make their own money – yet created
purely from vision, followed by expanded vision and focus, followed by support of
donors and prayers and all kinds of Divine support there is now an orphan resource
center. It is complete with television, videos, art tables, books, crayons and colored
pencils, black boards, sewing machines and all the materials necessary to create
African dolls, there are dolls already created and those in the beginning stages. Yet,
it seems like it was only yesterday – less than a second in the concept of the age of
the universe that none of these things existed. You have made this possible for our
150 children. You have supported and sponsored this little vision which came to me
from wherever these little visions come from.
There was no AOSCI last year, there was no TIOS – only an idea. Now there are both.
There was no www.aosci.org – there was no board of directors or bank accounts or
anything else. Yet, here we are one year later with a full photo album, yearly reports,
brochure, car, and office; and now a life skills training center in the making. If that
isn’t miracle – I’m not sure what is.
For those of you who remember my working with Manuel – he introduced me to Pastor
Rod Parsley – I think I spelled that right – anyway, Manuel wanted to study with his
church for some time and wanted me to find some things on line for him and I came
across a quote – an affirmation that I took to heart last summer. It was, (I don’t have
this exact- sorry) to the effect of: “Lord, make this ministry so large and great that
everyone will be able to see it was yours (not mine) as it is much too big for any one
person to have created alone” and so it is.
