REIKI TRAINING
Reiki is an ancient modality of hands-on healing energy work. Rev. Lawrence will
present another opportunity for First Degree Reiki training in August. The free
Friday night session is an introduction and information sharing time. The Friday
introduction is encouraged, but not necessary for attending the Saturday training.
Introduction 7-8:30 pm, Friday, August 12th. First Degree Class 9 am — 5 pm, Saturday, August 13th
- The fee for the Saturday training is $150. Please call the office to sign up for the Training and/or
the Introduction, as space is limited.
SUNDAY EVENING
During August our Sunday Evening Services will continue outside in the Gazebo at 6:30 pm. Rev
Lawrence will share the sermon from the morning services and Connie will provide music. The gathering
will be very casual. You are invited to come as you are!

Dinner and Western Stage Show

Where: Flying W Ranch, 3330 Chuckwagon Road
Come one come all for a fun evening at the Flying W Ranch. It should be a foot stompin’, knee jerking
time! We hope to see you there. Let’s have a grand ol’ time! (Casual Dress). Cost: $20 per adult and
$10 for children under 9. Make checks payable to The Flying W Ranch and send to Sandi at the Church,
deadline to send checks is July 20. Also, sign up in the lobby of church. Directions: Take 30th St.
(make right off of Garden of the Gods), go west on Flying W Ranch and left onto Chuckwagon.
YEAR OF EXPANSION OF PRAYER/HEALING CIRCLES
STARTING IN SEPTEMBER, YOUR PRAYER TEAM IS OFFERING TWO PRAYER/HEALING CIRCLES
AFTER BOTH SERVICES.
In addition to placing your written prayer requests (purple forms are in the pockets on the backs of chairs) in
the donation baskets or prayer box, you are invited to bring them with you and sit in the prayer/healing
circles after both services. Prayer Team members will pray with you in the circle, where you will experience
the intensity and immediacy of the prayer/healing work. The circle gathers at 10:25 after the first service and
shortly after the sanctuary clears following the second service.
We look forward to supporting your concerns and celebrations in prayer.

Workshop with Rev. Sharon Connors; 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Rev. Connors is a friend of Rev. Lawrence’s who has served as Senior Minister of Unity
Village Chapel for the past five years. Her talk on August 7 will kick off our month of
“Expanding our Prayer”, and she invites you to gift yourself with an unforgettable afternoon
