Unity’s Counseling Center Now Open!
Unity in the Rockies now has a team of trained Spiritual Counselors ready to meet with you and give you expert counseling.
• Do you need someone to counsel with you?
• Do you have addictions to overcome?
• Are you burdened by the economy
or dealing with stressful events?
You do not need to be a member of Unity in the Rockies to avail yourself of this service.
Just call Ann Clark at 635-3226 to get set up
with a counselor whose expertise will best fit your needs.

The Prayer Chaplain Program at Unity
Here at Unity in the Rockies we want to support our congregation with prayer. There are Prayer Chaplains available to pray with you after each church service. The do not counsel or advise, they just pray with you, which is a wonderful way to be supported.
You can also call our Prayer Chaplain phone line at 719-322-5138 and leave a message, and a Prayer Chaplain will call you back within a day or two. If you need immediate prayer assistance, you can call Silent Unity at 1-800-NOW PRAY. Silent Unity has been in existence for 120 years, and they are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
There is no fee for this service, and anyone is welcome to call for prayer. Each active member of our spiritual community receives a phone call once a month from their own Prayer Chaplain. They offer to pray with you about any area that needs this loving attention. This is one of the benefits of becoming a member.

Up and Coming Unity Class and Events!

• Annual Membership Meeting
Sunday, February 26th,    1:00 pm
(after 11:00 am service and YOU Lunch)
This is the time of the year when we have our “Annual Membership Meeting” to discuss Unity business for the coming year. Anyone may attend, however only members of Unity in the Rockies may vote on issues and ideas at hand. Please plan to attend, we need your ideas and your voice to be heard. Also our bylaws require a "quorum of voting members" to conduct the business of this spiritual community.

• Kirtan Chanting
Wednesday, February 8th,    7:00 - 8:30 pm
& will continue on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday's every month
Marilyn Sherbring from Denver is coming down to grace us along with Victoria Garrison of Colorado Springs for this wonderful rhythmic healing. Kirtan Chanting is a tradition of call and response singing in the devotional branch of yoga — bhakti yoga. Kirtan produces transcendent, meditation experience. If you would like to meet Marilyn & Victoria
(her instructor), they will be the guests at services on February 5th.

• Psychic Development Circle
First Class, Thursday, February 9th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm
(12 Week Program)
Stephanie Ezzat will put on “The Psychic Development Circle” is a 12 week long series of sessions in which you will learn to practice and exercise your psychic senses for better spiritual communication. We will meet Thursday evening for a month, then the rest of the classes will be on Wednesday evenings. Please check the online Unity calendar and plan ahead. This is a small weekly class with the participants limited to 14 for better personal attention and instruction.

• Karmic Healing Intro - Pt. 2

• Fillmore Healing Center is now a Reality!
Unity in the Rockies recently fixed up the “Kids House,” and made it so that during the week, when it is not in use, it can be a healing center. Since the “Kids House” is not a fitting name for a healing center it has been given a more appropriate name, the “Filmore Center.” We now have two renters, Hypnotherapists, who have moved their businesses into the center. We would like you know who they are and what kind of service they provide in case you or your family might be in need of their type of service.

Unity Beyond the Walls Seva Projects
Serve, Empower, and Transform S.E.T stands for Serve-Empower -Transform which is the motto of The Family Medical Clinic here in Colorado Springs. Their mission is to provide basic medical services and holistic health programs for the uninsured, the underinsured and low income people without discrimination. The items the clinic is in special need of include razors, deodorant, sunscreen, Ibuprofen, Antacids, Tums or Rolaids and foot powder these are all over the counter medications. There continued needs are white socks, toilet paper and bar soap. We give what we can to help them accomplish their mission. The listed items are basic supplies most everyone needs. Please leave your donations in the designated tub in the foyer. The Beyond the Walls Team thanks you for your generosity.

Food Drive     The BEYOND THE WALLS team wants to remind you of our ongoing food drive, which collects food for Marion House and Westside Cares. Although you can donate items any time you want, we are officially declaring the first Sunday of every month as FOOD DRIVE SUNDAY!! Please see the Food Drive tub in the foyer, or the Beyond the Walls section of the bulletin board, for a list of current needs. Please do what you can to help those in need. We appreciate anything that you can give.
Love Basket    The Love Basket is an ongoing year round project which provides one-time ‘emergency’ financial assistance to people who attend Unity Church in the Rockies, via King Soopers gift cards. Love Basket donations are also given out with discretion to those in need in the community. To apply for assistance please contact Jayde in the office. If you wish to donate to this project, you may do so via cash or a check made out to ‘Unity Church in the Rockies’. Please put `Love Basket’ in the memo section of your check. Checks and cash can be placed in the offering envelope in the sanctuary and put in the offering basket. Be sure to write ‘Love Basket’ on the offering envelope to ensure your donation goes specifically to the Love Basket project. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU THAT SUPPORT THIS PROJECT!
